About the Event

Regretfully, this event has been cancelled.

October 12, 2011
The Metropolitan Club, New York, NY

The event is hosted for the second year by the editors of Financial Planning and On Wall Street magazines, and by Christian Magoon, CEO of Magoon Capital, and former President of Claymore Securities (now Guggenheim Fund Distributors).

The mission of the event is to educate and expose advisors to the various aspects of ETFs — usage, trading, underlying methodology, different asset classes, various structures — creating value for advisors who are thirsting for this type of information and interaction with fund sponsors.

Dear Valued Advisor,

The need for professional financial advice has never been greater. Investors are rattled every day by economic headwinds including increased market volatility, higher taxes and political gridlock. Your clients rely on you to help them adhere to time-tested investment disciplines like asset allocation, tax efficiency and portfolio diversification that deliver in these uncertain times. Your advice and guidance makes a difference not only in your clients’ portfolios, but in their lives.

I would like to invite you to a conference designed to equip you with the latest insight, applications and investment strategies to help you continue to provide the level of expertise your clients have come to expect. ETF 360 delivers new information on the markets and asset classes, best practices for implementing ETFs in portfolios and tools and resources to expand your knowledge of the most efficient, transparent and flexible packaged product in your tool box.

By attending, you’ll hear the latest from industry thought leaders, as well as having the opportunity to ask questions and get real answers from them. Last year’s keynote speakers included Dr. Burton G. Malkiel, Chairman of the Index Committee of AlphaShares LLC and Professor of Economics at Princeton University, as well as Jeremy Siegel, Senior Investment Strategy Advisor for WISDOMTREE and Professor of Finance at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

ETF 360 gives you the opportunity to gather implementation advice from leading professional investors who are running focused portfolios of ETFs. ETF Sponsors will outline tactical investment ideas that are crucial for the current market. Leading third-party ETF resource firms will demonstrate how ETF-specific analytic tools and resources can make you and your practice more efficient. Finally, the conference will touch specifically on alternative investments (including commodities and currencies) as well as income-producing strategies (paid to wait, poised to rally) that are in demand with investors now. And yes, attendees will receive continuing education credits.

From last year’s event, I know that at the conclusion of the conference, you’ll be bursting with new insights into the markets and the ETFs that access them. You’ll be energized by at least one tactical investment idea that you can take advantage of immediately. And it’s very likely you’ll discover key takeaways to make your practice more efficient.

ETF 360 is designed to help you better serve your clients with investment and application expertise. I encourage you to invest a single day of your time on October 12th for an experience that is sure to yield a healthy return. I hope to see you there.

All the best,

Christian Magoon
